Galia Lahav Bespoke Dress

Are You Ready for Galia Lahav’s Bespoke Era?

Bespoke is everywhere these days, but bespoke fashion remains the single most coveted category and this luxury wedding dress designer has locked down just what brides want.

Show me one bride who doesn’t totally want (read: dream) of the ability to custom design their own wedding dress with the atelier of their dreams, of course. Pretty sure, the majority has spoken ‘cause bespoke, well, everything, is trending hardcore right now. So, naturally, Galia Lahav (luxury royalty we’re dubbing the house of couture) is offering ways to customize each look for brides who want a truly one-of-a-kind look. Sure, they’ve done it before for celebs, but darling this is different.

“Making dreams come true is the most beautiful thing our fashion house offers.” —Sharon Sever, Head Designer

In collaboration with the atelier, you can go on an entire personalization journey. Ahem, living the Disney princess dream over here. For the moment, though, Sever is taking us through the process of implementing a bespoke experience with Galia Lahav.

As with planning your wedding, these things take time and careful consideration. Which is why the process begins where you might think it does — with a vision board. Gather inspiration from designer lookbooks (maybe even Galia Lahav, just sayin’) or magazines (duh, this one) and get a feel for what you like (/love/need like yesterday). What’s your fave silhouette? What about the fabrics you want? Do you want lace? Pearls? Tons of beading? Or do you care to keep it more simple with a classic silk dress? Perhaps a long train? You get the idea.

Just like with other wedding details, the time of year and venue will be crucial to the design of your dress. You might’ve always dreamed of a sweetheart neckline, but if it’s below fifty degrees you’re going to want a little more coverage, darling. And faux fur coats can go a long way, but best to be on the safe side, don’t ya think?

In case you’re wondering (lbr, you’re totally wondering), a bespoke look starts at $25,000. It takes a “number of months, meetings, and fittings”. Remember, this is a collaboration between you and a Galia Lahav designer, and there’s going to be a lot of going back and forth to make sure your dreams come to life. And, as Sever notes, it is his opinion that “the best looks are the ones that reflect the essence and the personality of my bride. It is important to be yourself, feel comfortable, and be confident.”

Not to mention, all eyes are literally going to be on you because, come on, it’s you, hi, you’re the main character, it’s you!
