The winter solstice is often seen as a symbol of hope and new beginnings with the birth of the sun and days growing longer. So it’s only fitting that this fashion Friday we look at the new “Over the Moon” Collection by Kaviar Gauche, looking just over the moon toward the sun where boundless energy exists.
For designers Alexandra Roehler and Johanna Kühl of Kaviar Gauche, they were inspired by the English saying for being overjoyed. And the designer duo used that inspiration to create 17 looks that can’t help but make you feel a great deal of joy and energy.
Each piece was designed with attention to detail to make every bride's dream come true. Over the Moon is a collection that invites you to be enchanted and to fall under its spell because true beauty knows no boundaries, just like love itself.
Look no further than the interplay between clean elegance and opulence, for which the brand is already known, is skillfully used. We see an array of techniques and designs from three-dimensional floral couture lace and figure-flattering silk satin dresses with trains and deep cut-out backs to wide-cut masculine pants and delicate transparent corsages fused with tension. Particularly eye-catching is the Moon Flower Blouson, an ivory-colored oversize bomber jacket, which is trimmed all over with three-dimensional large satin flowers.
