Every time another season of NYLBFW comes to an end, our editors are asked the same question, a very good question might I add… what we’re your favorite dresses from the shows? Well, we can go through each and every single show (it would take a while!), or we can tell you our favorites from the Leah da Glória runway show and get back to you on the others at a later date. 😉 Maybe over drinks ‘cause it would take a minute…or ninety.
Now, first let’s just start off by saying the Leah da Glória runway show had some of the *coolest* music playing in the background. We’re talking Selena Gomez, Olivia Rodrigo, the very popular song by Lana del Ray (you know which one we’re talking about). And the models were seriously vibing with the energy. They rocked that runway and strutted it like they owned it. One model literally stole the show every time she came out, turning, flipping her hair, loving every single minute of it. That made us, well, love every single minute of it, too!
All that aside, though, the picks didn’t come so easily to us. Each one of the editors had to narrow it down, not just from two or three, but from like five that they each really loved. Yes, some were duplicates, because we’re not all that different. But, for the most part, we all knew which ones we absolutely L-O-V-E-D. So here they are.
Our Favorites Are In
“I’m just over here absorbing every second of this ball gown trend (I was the girl that watched “Cinderella” and dreamt of wearing a big ball gown wedding dress). This dress, in particular, caught my attention the minute both the model and I realized it was too big for the runway…but she totally owned it and I just fell it in love with it! It was a fairytale dress fit for a princess (or queen) and I swooned. Plus, it has a detachable element and you all know I’m a sucker for that!” —The Glam Goddess
“The bodice reminds me of a Victorian-era dress. That along with the long sleeves and high collar made it a no-brainer for me. It’s elegant and timeless. It’s a mix of modern and vintage and I’m loving it.” —The Romantic at Heart
“Just look at that deep V…and the sleeves…*swoon*. The fact that it has a deep V, not only in the front but also in the back, immediately caught my attention. Not to mention, the placement of the 3D floral detailing on this classic satin ball gown elevated it even more.” —The Simple Gal
Now It’s Time For *You* To Pick Your Fave from the Runway
…and leave us a comment and tell us which one you like, we’d love to know what you think.
