What’s a gal to do when she can’t find a wedding dress she loves but design her own! That’s what Alice Fern did. It didn’t hurt that she had years of design experience, working with major fashion brands (ahem, Michael Kors), but that’s beside the point. Today, through Atelier Fern she explores shapes and silhouettes, laces and silks, and an array of designs from feminine to bold. At the most recent NYLBFW, she debuted her latest bridal collection, Belle Opulence.
For this fall 2024 collection the inspiration was drawn from Parisian glamour and features opulent silk jacquards and encrusted beaded fabrics.
You’ll also see effortlessly draped silhouettes that accentuate the body with teasing allure.
Heritage fabrics, like French tweed and silk charmeuse, combine with bespoke tailoring techniques and couture finishes in a homage to traditional craftsmanship – but for a collection that is distinctly modern. Edgy, feminine, and unique – a new look for avant-garde brides.
